Kid's Lit: Remembering Dad

When my son was younger I read to him nearly every night. At first It was books like Goodnight Moon, Curious George, Winnie the Pooh and the like with a few made up stories thrown in. Then, when he got a little older we read the first four Harry Potter books together; me actually reading and him listening. I'd like to think this would've contributed to a love of literature on his part, but I think only time will tell. He is currently 18 years old and not yet a voracious reader, but does read sci-fi and fantasy titles in his spare time. In the video from Open Road media below, many children's and YA authors relate the influence of their own own fathers on their love for storytelling. Happy Father's day!
